Commons & Co. A Church
Accounting

Where the money goes.

An open budget, published quarterly. Because a church should be transparent about what it funds.

The accounting of the church

The Commons publishes its budget every three months — every line, every category, every cent. Below is how it breaks down for 2026.

42%

Neighborhood Partners

The Bread Table, Housing Collective, Tutor Corps, English Together, and the Re-entry Partnership. The largest single line in our budget, and we're proud of that.

28%

Staff & Care

Four pastors at part-time, one administrator, contract musicians. A counselor we subsidize for anyone in our community who needs one.

18%

The Building

Rent, utilities, insurance. The brick storefront that holds us. We are working toward owning it by 2030.

8%

Worship Life

Multi-lingual hymnals, interpretation equipment, the candle fund, the Tuesday-night groceries, coffee for twenty-six Sunday weeks.

4%

Denominational Mission

Our per-capita assessment to the Presbytery, supporting mission worldwide and our local judicatory.

Give

One practice of the generous life.

Give once, give monthly, give in memory, give through stock, give through a will. All are welcome. Whatever you give, however you give, goes toward the line items above.
